Literally the best pizza in Houston. And I don't say that lightly! Had the cacio e pepe and about died with how good it was. Be sure to get the trio of sauces too! Drinks were also incredible. Bartender Hector was extremely knowledgeable and talented.
Love the new seasonal menu that's full of delicious veggie dishes.
The charred bean salad is our favorite- i hope it never leaves the menu.
Only thing that was underwhelming was the fish... not seasoned well enough, veg pairing was a bit strange, and fish needed more sear! They were gracious in letting us send it back.
Rosie is definitely part of our regular rotation though! See y'all next time!
Delicious lunchtime outing to this chic Midtown restaurant that was blissfully cool on a scorching day. Lovely service from Francesca, and the surprise of half-priced lunchtime wine bottles. Many, many pizzas being served, and all of them looked fabulous. Interesting cocktails, great food, a happy vibe as people laughed, ate, drank and met up with friends. A spot to revisit, for sure!
This restaurant was amazing from top to bottom The waiter we had was very thoughtful and took care of everything for us, and even recommended some amazing dishes to try. The hostess was polite and seated us right away, and this restaurant has amazing teamwork.
Rosie Cannonballs is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. When you walk in, you are greeted by the chic yet warm ambiance as well as a complimentary sample of a wine they are serving that day. One of our favorites is the cacio e pepe pizza. They also have wonderful pasta (not pictured) and great drinks that are reasonably priced for the type of restaurant it is. The shrimp toast was good but not great. We have had a great experience with service both times we have been and felt that they were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Overall, I highly recommend everyone goes here.

Food was okay-- I got four things
A. Green bean salad (decent, al dente and beautiful but missing the right balance of acid and fat). A little fennel would have been great.
B. Cacio e Peppi -- excellent balance of simple, excellent, flavors... But no options for my gluten-insensitive boyfriend? Suddenly the restaurant seems a lot less modern.
C. Essentially a Margherita pizza - dough was a little thick, gooey in the middle & slightly overdone on the outside (the latter two a temperature oversight). The toppings & sauce receded in the pie so I felt the crust was a little too wide.
D. Berry Gelato -
The masters at work! Best Gelato I've had in ages, the fruity bits in the middle and fruit gel on top were the best part of the date. Chef's kiss.
Service hit all 7 steps of service. Helpful, but.. I think I came to the end of their shift and they were ready to leave. That's on me.
If you're coming for a finely curated menu with excellent wines and dessert, you've come to the right place.
I'm willing to come back for a chance to try the pizza (and see a local celebrity) again. I've heard it's amazing, and even though this pizza fell short, I'm more than willing to give this gorgeous restaurant another shot.
I think this place was gorgeous, but the only thing holding me back from a five-star review was how long it took for our food to come out. A friend and I ordered the Focaccia Recco and we both ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese, and the focaccia took 17 minutes to come out while the bolognese came out in 25+ minutes. We came right when they opened, so I totally understand that they could have been lacking in prep though. While the food was good, the focaccia was drowned in honey and too sweet/rich/soggy for my taste. The bolognese was great but overpriced. The quality of the pasta was super fresh though. Atmosphere was great, lovely interior.
The place is cute, we entered through the wrong door so they walked us all the way to the hostess station. They offered us a taste of their wine of the night i thought that was cool. …
